T-Shirt Tuesday: Draculabyte

by Tawny

If you’re a fan of metal music (or the aesthetic of it), this Lafayette-based shop has got you covered. With designs inspired by the Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Pokémon, this store features a myriad of video game-inspired shirts, as well as a handful of comic and cartoon ones. Compared to the other Nintendo shirts out there, these certainly stand out.

Etsy user Draculabyte has been making handmade metal video game and horror shirts since April of 2019. Their goal is to create kickass shirts “with references to metal, music, and the creation of a retro style.” For example, their Piranha Plant shirt is based on Pantera’s “Vulgar Display of Power” album. And while their page doesn’t state that all of their shirts are inspired by particular albums, they still give off that impression. They definitely have the perfect 80s feel to them.

These unisex tees are also made with a high-quality, soft fabric that is prewashed to minimize shrinkage. Most of Draculabyte’s tees are $19.95, but they also offer hoodies for roughly $10 more. Honestly, is there a better way to tackle this cold season than rocking your favorite game series? I don’t think so. But you can check out more of their stuff at their Etsy and Instagram pages.
