The Nintendo Direct on September 13th, 2018, revealed more information about the Pokémon Let’s Go games, including new Switch hardware.
Nintendo announced new bundles for the Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee games. The bundles will include a Nintendo Switch system with a Pikachu and Eevee themed dock, themed Joy Cons, and the Pokeball Plus accessory. A digital copy of the game will be already downloaded onto the system.
$399.99 US.
The player’s Partner Pokémon will have exclusive access to “Secret Techniques” in the new games. Only Pikachu or Eevee will be able to use them in the overworld. Long time players of the series will recognize these replacing the the Hidden Machines from previous games. The trailer demonstrates the partner Pokemon using versions of Surf, Fly, and Cut (called “Chop Down” in this game). The Partner Pokémon will also gain access to unique moves for battle.
In addition, petting the partner Pokémon in handheld mode will allow the player to change their partner’s hairstyle. Petting the Pokemon on the touch screen will determine which hairstyle the Pokémon gets based on the gesture used.
