“Don’t get cooked… Stay off the hook!” Splatoon 2’s iconic pop idols Pearl and Marina are getting their own amiibo figures.
The official Nintendo YouTube channel recently posted a video revealing a close look at the colorful figurines. Unfortunately, the video did not specify a release date or explain what they will do in-game for Splatoon 2 players.
All we know about these figures is that they will be released exclusively as part of a two-pack later this year, similar to the first Splatoon idols Callie and Marie. In the first Splatoon game, when you scanned the Callie and Marie amiibo, you were able to watch special concerts from the figure they scanned. But in Splatoon 2, the Callie and Marie amiibo unlock special armor. Additionally, they allow you to take photos with whichever Squid Sister amiibo you scan. It’s safe to assume that Pearl and Marina will also be giving us some exclusive merchandise and photo-ops as well.
