This isn’t your average Mario Party. Each character has their own unique dice block in addition to a regular 6 dice block. Mix and match your gaming preference to travel the board as best as you can.
You’re not limited to just your characters dice either. You can find allies along the way! Each ally you bring along will add their special die to your collection and they can add onto your rolls up to 2 movements.
In Partner Party mode, you can travel the board with free mobility. Your moves are counted by the squares on the board just like in a tabletop board game. You can double back, go in a square, manipulate your roll however you can to land on the space you need.
Earn special co-op mini-games in River Survival mode! 4 players ride river rapids and avoid obstacles in a raft where they must row as a team. You play as long as you have time on your timer, so don’t let it run out!
If you’re feeling groovy and you’ve got the beat, then check out Sound Stage mode. Dance your way to the top in this musical competition to see who has the best rhythm of all. These mini-games flow seamlessly into one another so stay on your toes and don’t fall flat.
This is a bit of a secret but if you look hard enough you can find Toad’s Rec Room. Here’s where you can see what the Switch’s technology really has to offer. You can play 4 special mini-games that can utilize 2 Switch screens and are perfect for getting a friendly competition going.
Want some tough competition? Make your way to the Online Mariothon where players from all walks of life are ready to take you on! Play with random opponents or pick a formidable player from your friends list to challenge. The better you do, the higher your ranking will go!
Once you’ve earned all 80 mini-games, you can test your skills in Challenge Road mode. Toad says no one has reached the end of this treacherous road before, maybe you’ll be the first. Each space contains a challenge based off the mini-games you’ve earned. Complete 80 of them and you’ll win!
