Nintendo announced that several significant features and events will be added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons on April 23. While it does add many things that are new to this title, most of these features are returning from past games in the series, such as familiar faces like Leif, Redd, Reese, and Cyrus.
Leif’s Garden Shop, a plant vendor, will be visiting islands to peddle its wares. These items include shrubs, which are new to New Horizons. It is likely to sell flowers that are not native to the island, making it easier to grow a variety of flowers around the town.
Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler is a seedy goods store that will port at the hidden beach at the north side of the island. Redd is a fox who is known to sell counterfeit art, but there is always a piece of genuine art among his wares. He sells other goods, too.
The local museum will receive an expansion to include fine art. Genuine art purchased from Redd or perhaps acquired through other means can be donated and put on display in this section. Blathers can tell the difference between real and fake, so he will turn away the counterfeits.
As for events, the Nature Day event will begin the same day as the update. It will take place from April 23 to May 4. During this time, Tom Nook will offer promotions to earn extra Nook Miles.
During the May Day event, from May 1 to May 7, players can purchase a May Day Ticket from the Dodo Airlines. This will take them to special islands, like one with a hedge maze. Rover has been spotted on this island.

The International Museum Day event, occurring between May 18 to May 31, will encourage players to visit the local museum for stamps that can be turned in for some kind of reward.
Wedding Season is the final event that was announced. It will cover the entire month of June, from the 1st to the 30th. Visit Harv’s Island to design wedding-themed photoshoots. The characters Reese and Cyrus will make an appearance.
There are probably several new details sprinkled in that have yet to be officially revealed, but we might have to wait and see if that is the case.
Given how far in advance the events are planned, the next major update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons will probably follow June. For now, players have a lot to look forward to starting April 23.
